Developed a Seafloor Rare Metal Exploration System and Successfully Acquired Magnetic Data at a Depth of 1700m.

The research team of World Scan Project and Associate Professor Thornton Blair of the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, is conducting joint research on an exploration system aimed at discovering rare metal resources lying on the seafloor.

By mounting our company’s drone-equipped magnetic sensor “JIKAI” and the “SeaXerocks3” 3D image mapping system developed by the Thornton Laboratory onto an ROV, we successfully measured magnetic anomalies on the seafloor at a depth of 1700m.
